I just don't understand why anyone would parade a team around and make them seem like the greatest show when they are bottom of the tables. If it were any other country, "Beck's Galaxy" would be relegated. Wow...what a difference he made. It just took them a bit longer to drop to last place than last year. Next time, maybe they should spend a quarter billion dollars and upcoming youth, not a former superstar who is average at best.

The Dutch players are probably some of the best players in the world, its just a shame they can't mesh when playing internationally. The Dutch resume is quite impressive, even more so than most other countries or continents.

Why does everyone refer to LA as Beckham's Galaxy? When did he start to own the team? Congrats Dave, you scored two goals and allowed for the Galaxy to draw with Real Salt Lake, and the other goal you scored made no difference, because you still lost. I won't argue that Beckham was once a great player, but at 32 years, he is past his prime. For a 250 million dollars spread out, LA could have recruited almost a full line of young African, Asian, or even B-side European players who can develop and grow, rather than have a washed up star who's ego clearly will shine brighter than his football. Way to go Galaxy. Keep up with these dumb deals and we can have the sexiest Football league, but will fall well short of ever being able to look competent on a world club stage. This is why most of our US national team squad comes from Euro teams. They pick talent over sex appeal. Key example? Ronaldinho. LA and MLS as a whole...Get a clue!
