Dieumerci Mbokani Bezua has signed a one-year extension to his contract with newly-crowned Belgian champions R. Standard de Liège.

The 22-year-old has scored 15 goals in this, his first season with Michel Preud'homme's team, including two against RSC Anderlecht on 20 April that secured the club a first title in 25 years. On Tuesday he and the rest of the team were named honorary citizens in Liege and Mbokani has been given extra reward with a contract until 2013.
