Wigan Athletic's Marcus Bent is confident the Latics will avoid relegation from the Barclays Premier League. A win against Reading last weekend would have secured their status for another season but the match ended in a goalless draw.
The Latics will now have to get something from their remaining matches against Aston Villa and Manchester United to guarantee their safety, and Bent is confident they will.
"It was a bit disappointing because if we had won we would have been safe, but football is an unforgiving game and you don't always get the result you expect," said Bent.
