KRAKOW, Oct 20 (SW) – An investigation may soon be under way to look into the alleged racial comments made by Serbian defender Nikola Mijailovic to Blackburn’s Benni McCarthy.

Uefa are taking the allegations very seriously, according to spokesman for UEFA, William Gaillard.

At this stage UEFA are accepting McCarthy’s word since he has been around for many years.

Gaillard said that the referee still needs to be questioned on the incident.
